The Cortes by Tesoro is their top of the line coin hunting detector. It has an operating frequency of 10 kHz and a 9x8 water proof search coil with cover. It takes 8 AA batteries, good for about 20 hrs and weighs only 2.98 lbs including batteries. Operating modes include: silent search discriminate, no motion all metal, sum and wide and narrow notch out. It has a 2x16 character LCD alpha/numeric display that gives an indication of your possible target including a 9 segment bar graph to reinforce the target ID number and together with 9 possible tones gives you the most accurate target ID possible.
