This unit is in very good mechanical condition.
Just recently calibrated and certified by Tom Dankowski to 12.1" on a dime.
Yes, 12.1" on a dime with an 8" coil!

Physically there are signs of normal use but it is still a very clean detector..
Tom goes over these detectors very thoroughly before he even begins calibration..
It's very quiet and can really take the power when cranked.
