The XLT has 5 preset modes (select & go) and 4 customizable programs you select and enter. Preset programs include Coin. Coin & Jewelry, Beach, Relic & Prospecting. Ground balancing only takes seconds for each mode. The display gives you enough information to determine 95% of the time what the target is and how deep. Treasure or trash it will display a visual icon of the target, a VDI number corresponding to a chart on top of the control box, and a SignaGraph confirming or not the target ID and visual Icon. If all three agree as to the target you can be sure it will be down there and when you pinpoint it with the 9.5" coil (you will know exactly where and how deep prior to digging. This model was discontinued in the early 2000's and was replaced with the DFX. The original MSRP was around $800+ This is still considered one of the better all around detectors White's ever made. This unit is in excellent condition (8.5 out of 10) and can be demonstrated as such. Includes both battery packs (rechargeable and alkaline - takes 8 AA's), Charger, Headphones & White's pin pointer. I have a the manual and engineering report. Superb condition. Asking $350.00
