This is a rare hip mount model and is easy to use. It has both GEB (Ground Exclusion Balance) and discriminator modes, allowing for all-metal searching in mineralized ground and targeted searching when you want to filter out undesirable targets. It's a good backup detector or for someone getting into the hobby. It can be used on dry land or at the beach (loop and lower rod can be used in fresh and salt water). I bought this new and had many great finds over the years - silver coins/medals, civil war relics, jewelry, clad coins, and more.

Unit works great and is in overall good condition. A few scratches and some paint missing from the bottom of the unit box, and some very light wear on the loop. I replaced the older plastic arm cup on the loop rod with a new metal version with a velcro strap.

Comes with the unit, 8" loop and rod assembly, 6 AA battery pack (batteries not included), strap, manual, and a couple of other Whites booklets on using metal detectors and finding treasure.
